Building for the Future: Acticare Expansion Gets Underway
It’s an exciting time at Acticare as work begins on the next phase of our expansion at our Hereford headquarters.
Following continued growth, we’re investing further in our home at Skylon Park, Rotherwas, creating additional space that will support both our team and our ability to serve Care Homes across the UK.
The development will provide additional warehouse capacity alongside new office space and a maintenance workshop, helping us prepare for the next stage of Acticare’s growth.
Continuing our journey in Hereford
Acticare was established in Hereford in 2006, initially specialising in Pressure Care products. Since then, the business has continued to grow, expanding its product range, team and client base before moving into our purpose-built Skylon Park headquarters.
Now, in our 20th year, this latest investment marks another important chapter in that journey.
Herefordshire remains an important part of who we are. As a family-founded business, continuing to invest locally and creating opportunities for people in the area remains an important part of our plans for the future.
The expansion will give us greater capacity as the business grows, while also supporting opportunities to add to the Acticare team.
More space to support our clients
For us, growth isn’t simply about having a bigger building.
It’s about making sure we have the infrastructure, people and processes in place to continue delivering the level of service our clients expect.
Additional warehouse capacity will allow us to support our growing product range and stockholding, while further investment across our operation will help us maintain reliable fulfilment and a rapid response as we continue to grow.
Our focus remains the same: making every day simpler, safer and better for the Care Homes we support.
Whether that’s ensuring essential products are available when they’re needed, responding quickly to a request or helping Care Home groups improve consistency across their homes, our continued investment is designed to strengthen the service behind it.
Investing in what comes next
Over the past 20 years, Acticare has changed significantly, but our commitment to continual improvement hasn’t.
This expansion is another step in preparing Acticare for the future, giving our team more room to grow and providing the capacity we need to support more Care Homes without compromising the standards our existing clients rely on.
There’s plenty of work still to come, and we’re looking forward to seeing the development take shape over the coming months.
